What is Business North Carolina Legal Elite?

Since 2002, Business North Carolina magazine has recognized the state's top lawyers through its Legal Elite awards. Unlike other attorney rankings, Legal Elite is purely peer-driven-lawyers across North Carolina vote for attorneys they would refer clients to in specific practice areas. This rigorous selection process ensures that honorees are highly respected and trusted within the legal community.

Each year, the magazine sends ballots to thousands of attorneys who are members of the North Carolina State Bar, asking: "Of the North Carolina lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rank among the best in their practice area?"

Fewer than 4% of the state's attorneys are ultimately selected for this distinction.
