Jane C. Jackson
Jane C. Jackson is a highly accomplished attorney with a career marked by excellence in workers’ compensation, employment law, personal injury, and insurance litigation. A former standout scholar-athlete at Wake Forest University, Jane translated her discipline and leadership on the basketball court into a distinguished legal practice. As Of Counsel at Robinson & Lawing, LLP, she brings decades of experience, a deep commitment to achieving positive outcomes for her clients, and leadership to the lawyers on her team.
Jane’s legal career is built on a foundation of academic excellence. She graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1980 with a double major in mathematics and classical Greek, earning numerous accolades, including Phi Beta Kappa and the June P. Galloway Award for excellence in athletics, scholarship, and leadership. After receiving a post-graduate scholarship from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Jane earned her law degree from the University of Virginia in 1983, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.
Recognized as one of the region’s leading attorneys, Jane has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 2001 for workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation. She has been named “Lawyer of the Year” in Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers for the Greensboro metropolitan area four times. Selected to North Carolina Super Lawyers since 2007, she has been recognized in its elite Top 50 Women Lawyers list three times.
Beyond her practice, Jane is a dedicated member of the legal and local community. She has held leadership roles in the North Carolina Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section and regularly speaks at seminars on workers’ compensation and employment law topics. Her contributions to her alma mater include past service on the Wake Forest University Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee, where she was inducted in 1995 as the first female athlete.
