L. Bruce Scott

Bruce Scott is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law with extensive experience in complex equitable distribution and business litigation matters. A native of Watauga County, North Carolina, Bruce combines his legal expertise with a strong commitment to advancing the professional and ethical practice of family law in North Carolina. Bruce is known for his analytical approach and dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients.  He has been a partner at Robinson & Lawing since 2016.

Bruce earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2009, where he was a member of the Gabrielli Family Law Moot Court Team and the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. He joined Robinson & Lawing the same year and has since built a practice centered on resolving complex family law disputes.

Bruce is actively involved in the legal community, having served on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law Section Council, the Appellate Monitor Committee, and the Forsyth County Family Law Advisory Committee. He is also a contributing writer to the NCBA’s Family Law Marital Claims Deskbook and a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs on topics such as equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, and child support.

Before pursuing his legal career, Bruce served for seven years in the U.S. Coast Guard, bringing a disciplined and service-oriented perspective to his practice.
