Hanna Riley

Hanna Riley earned her J.D. through Elon University School of Law's accelerated program and an MBA from Elon University. Before and during law school, Hanna gained practical experience with insurance, contracts and leases, property matters, business entities, construction issues, regulatory compliance, and the evaluation of potential liability. Her early work in the insurance industry also gave her insight into the role insurance can play in protecting assets and managing financial and business risk.

Hanna's approach to the law has also been shaped by an interest in how legal institutions affect the people who rely upon them. While serving as a judicial intern with the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in Pittsburgh, she observed family, civil, and criminal proceedings and assisted with a grant-funded initiative to create a trauma-informed sensory space within the Family Courthouse. The project reflected an effort to make the courthouse environment more responsive to people experiencing difficult and stressful circumstances.

Before joining Robinson & Lawing, Hanna served as a law clerk with The Carroll Companies in Greensboro, where her work included legal research, contract and lease review, e-discovery, risk analysis, and litigation-prevention support. That combination of legal, business, and practical experience provides a strong foundation as she begins her practice with Robinson & Lawing.
